Pack up your duffel bag, get into your old blue jeans and let us take you for a horseback adventure you will never forget!
Whether you are an experienced rider or if you have never ridden before we have horses that will match your ability. The area is rocky with many stream crossings and steep slopes, keeping the pace slow enables you to sit back, relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty of the countryside.
We take pride in our excellent string of horses. Their good nature and trail experience will give you a new appreciation of horse flesh as they carry you safely over the rugged terrain.
For those of you who enjoy sport fishing, you will find some good opportunities in the lakes and streams en route. You will be required to purchase the proper licenses before the trip. Once you’ve tasted trout taken from these icy mountain waters, your taste buds will never be the same again!
Like the travellers of days gone by a tent will be your home as you explore this majestic wilderness, as these are the only type of dwellings allowed in this unique area. Everything must be packed in and out by horse. This is one of the last sizable tracts of mountain wilderness in Alberta that has been spared from roads and commercial development. It is home to many species of wildlife which occasionally present themselves for exciting photographic opportunities.
Imagine waking up in the crisp morning air to the smell of fresh coffee, pancakes and bacon! Our trail cooks will delight you with their daily mealtime surprises, prepared on the small wood stove which is packed in and out on horseback. Plenty of good home cooking to satisfy the heartiest appetite!
After a long day on the trail it is great to relax around the evening campfire reliving the excitement of the day and sharing some 'tall tales' with fellow travellers. Friendships flourish in the glow of the embers, many of which last for years.
